The Last Rites of Joe May

Sixty-something Joe emerges from a lengthy hospital stay, grappling with the unsettling truth of his existence: the world has moved on, believing him dead. Back in Chicago's 'Patch' district, he faces a stark new reality—his car is missing, his belongings pawned by the landlord, and his long-time apartment now occupied by a single mother and her young daughter. As Joe navigates this disorienting landscape, he must reevaluate his life, confront his past, and seek a place in a world that has all but forgotten him.
