Lasseter's Bones

In the late 1800s, Lewis Harold Bell Lasseter claimed to have uncovered a massive gold deposit in central Australia, a legendary site often referred to as El Dorado. Despite his assertions, this enigmatic treasure has never been rediscovered, leading many to doubt its existence. Nonetheless, Lasseter was undeniably a captivating figure. Viewed by some as an eccentric fraud, he faced ridicule for his bold declarations, which he staunchly maintained until his untimely demise. Lasseter embodies the spirit of the Australian folk hero, living a life filled with remarkable adventures, grand stories, and outrageous claims, including a rumored faked death and his assertion of designing the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
