Oliver Cromwell's head embodies a peculiar chapter in English history, marked by its journey from honorable burial to scandalous display. This documentary chronicles the relic’s bizarre saga, transforming it from a grim warning for traitors to a soldier's secret treasure, and even an attraction at an 18th-century peep show. It explores the artifact's dual nature, evoking both reverence and ridicule, before its final secretive interment. By delving into the stories surrounding Cromwell and his severed head, the film sheds light on evolving British perspectives on monarchy and democracy since the civil war over 350 years ago.
