Billie discovers her estranged parents are in mortal danger and decides the only way to save them is to rob a bank. The heist goes horribly wrong, and she ends up taking Franny hostage—a wildly impulsive pregnant teen with nothing to lose. Instead of a standoff, the two form an unlikely bond, fleeing together across stunning American landscapes. Through clashes and hard-won understanding, they fight for a second chance at something better.
