Tala

Tala, a young Filipina domestic worker, resides with an affluent Montreal family, navigating her daily routine amid their peculiar demands. While tending to her chores, a sudden phone call threatens her already precarious position, placing her job—and stability—in jeopardy. Filmed in one continuous over-the-shoulder shot, TALA is a biting satire rooted in the realities of Canada's contentious live-in caregiver initiative, exposing the fragile line between servitude and survival.
