Four imaginative kids retreat to their attic hideout, spinning an enchanting tale that transports them far beyond their reality. Meanwhile, their parents engage in a chaotic, alcohol-fueled drama below, entangled in a web of secrets and tensions. As the children's fantasy unfolds, the contrast between their innocent adventures and the tumultuous adult world below becomes increasingly stark, revealing the complexities of family dynamics and the power of imagination. The Playroom artfully juxtaposes childhood wonder with the darker truths of adult life, creating a poignant exploration of escapism and the loss of innocence.
