The Pony Express sets up shop in Virginia City, prompting tensions as Ben disapproves of Joe's desire to join as a rider. His apprehensions grow with the Paiute Indians' opposition to the service crossing their territory. Meanwhile, Curtis Wade, the ambitious assistant manager, yearns for glory as an Indian fighter. This 1966 feature, directed by William Witney, combines two episodes from the beloved "Bonanza" series, titled "Ride the Wind," blending adventure with the complexities of frontier conflict and personal ambition.
