Set in a lavish Parisian mansion, a group of individuals participates in provocative sexual ceremonies orchestrated by 83-year-old Catherine Robbe-Grillet, an influential author and dominatrix. Her much younger partner has vowed to obey her every whim. Lina Mannheimer delivers a captivating performance as a complex woman devoted to exploring sexuality in both life and literature, alongside her husband, Alain Robbe-Grillet. This debut film artfully presents the intensity of sadomasochistic rituals, delving into themes of desire, power dynamics, and the allure of silk scarves, all captured with striking cinematic elegance.
