Drawing inspiration from Romanian folklore, this 1929 film delves into the legendary outlaws of the Carpathian Mountains. Serving as the second installment of an adventurous trilogy, it predates the wave of regional films featuring rebellious heroes from the '60s and '70s. Unfortunately, the other two parts, "Iancu Jianu" and "Ciocoii," have been lost to time, leaving this captivating chapter as a nostalgic glimpse into the tales of lawlessness and heroism that shaped Romanian cinema.
