João Grilo and Chicó, two resourceful yet impoverished men from a remote Brazilian town, navigate life by outsmarting those around them. Their clever antics come to an end when they unexpectedly die, leading to an unusual afterlife scenario. In a surreal judgment, they face Christ, the Devil, and the Virgin Mary, who assess their lives and mischief before granting them entry to paradise. The film cleverly blends humor with deeper themes, exploring morality and redemption in a vibrant Northeastern setting.
