In 1839, the slave ship Amistad embarked from Cuba to America, but the journey took a dramatic turn when Cinque spearheaded a remarkable revolt among the enslaved crew. Captured and imprisoned in Connecticut, their fate ignites a fierce legal battle. Theodore Joadson, a freed slave, is determined to secure justice for Cinque and his companions, enlisting the expertise of property lawyer Roger Baldwin.
