Set in the quiet, former seaport town of Uobuka, six ex-convicts are placed there by the government for rehabilitation, unbeknownst to the local residents. Tsukisue, a diligent municipal official overseeing the initiative, gradually uncovers the troubled histories of these individuals. His efforts to integrate them into the community take a dark turn when a body is found, forcing him to confront the hidden truths of their pasts and the potential dangers lurking in their midst. Tension escalates as the line between redemption and danger blurs in this gripping adaptation of Tatsuhiko Yamagami's manga.
