Between lives, souls pause in a surreal dimension called Another World, where Gudo serves as a guide, shepherding the departed toward their next existence. When he takes charge of a volatile young woman named Yuri, he discovers emotions that baffle him—raw, human feelings he's never known. Charged by the goddess Mira with a dangerous duty, Gudo must teach Yuri to master her fury before it twists her into something monstrous, a mission that will test him like never before.
