Emerald Cities wraps up the trilogy with the journey of a young woman who escapes her Death Valley home in pursuit of a better life. Her alcoholic father, still donning his Santa suit from a local Christmas pageant, trails behind her and confronts the chaotic realities of 1984. The narrative weaves together gritty street interviews by Willie Boy Walker, punk performances from bands like Flipper and The Mutants, and surreal TV segments on past-life regression and nuclear fallout, culminating in a whirlwind of interconnected tales featuring a deranged ex-con.
