Three interconnected narratives explore the opioid crisis from different angles. A drug trafficker orchestrates a massive Fentanyl smuggling operation between Canada and the U.S. Meanwhile, an architect, fresh from her own OxyContin addiction, seeks answers regarding her son's entanglement with drugs. Simultaneously, a university professor confronts unsettling truths about his research employer—a pharmaceutical giant with significant government ties, promoting a so-called "non-addictive" painkiller. As these stories unfold, the devastating impact of the opioid epidemic becomes starkly apparent, revealing the complexities and moral dilemmas surrounding addiction and corporate greed.
