In her debut feature, Věra Chytilová skillfully blends documentary and fictional styles to present two contrasting narratives. One story revolves around Olympic gold medalist gymnast Eva Bosáková, who faces the tough decision of retirement while enduring a demanding training regimen. The other story focuses on a housewife who feels overlooked and undervalued by her husband, highlighting her struggles for recognition and fulfillment.
