Set against the backdrop of 1969, Jamie Schwartz, a sensitive 16-year-old at an all-boys boarding school, grapples with his isolated existence. Struggling to connect with peers and faculty, Jamie finds solace in his obsession with J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye, envisioning himself as its iconic protagonist, Holden Caulfield. Driven by this ambition, he adapts the novel into a play, seeking to bridge the gap between his inner world and reality. Jamie's journey unfolds as he navigates adolescence, identity, and the quest for acceptance in a tumultuous era.
