A heartfelt homage to the U.S. 442nd Regimental Combat Team, established in 1943 with Japanese-American volunteers, showcases the journey of a platoon led by Lt. Mike Grayson, who initially harbors biases reflective of the era. As they train and fight in Italy and France, the 442nd proves their mettle in numerous battles. Grayson witnesses firsthand their extraordinary bravery and skill, leading to a profound transformation in his perspective. Ultimately, he comes to recognize that the soldiers he once underestimated are not only equal but surpass him in valor and capability.
