Neil Young’s "musical novel" unfolds the tale of a family navigating turmoil, including the murder of a police officer, through the eyes of a young girl named Sun Green. Rather than a typical concert film, Young captures the essence of Greendale—a fictional rural town reflecting broader societal issues—by filming on location in his native Northern California. The project features a rich soundtrack performed by Young and Crazy Horse. Bonus content includes interviews with Young and the cast, alongside three live renditions of songs from "Greendale," offering deeper insights into this unique cinematic experience.
