"Cessationist" delves into the contentious debate surrounding the existence of charismatic gifts within Christianity. It explores whether practices such as speaking in tongues, prophecy, healing, and even raising the dead are genuine manifestations of faith or relics of the past that have faded away. Through interviews and testimonials from charismatic and Pentecostal believers, the film challenges viewers to consider the authenticity of these miracles and the implications for modern spirituality. The documentary invites reflection on the powerful intersection of belief and experience in the quest for divine connection.
