A personal travel diary unfolds in this documentary as Thomas Arslan explores Turkey during his journey in May and June 2005. He navigates from the bustling streets of Istanbul and Ankara to Gaziantep in the southeast, continuing eastward through Diyarbakir and Van to Dogubayazit, close to the Iranian border. Arslan captures moments that challenge conventional portrayals of modern Turkey, presenting a vivid tapestry of everyday life in major cities alongside the stark realities of regions recently affected by conflict. The film offers a nuanced perspective on a nation rich in contrast and complexity.
