As World War I drags into its third year, the brutal reality of aerial warfare takes a devastating toll on young British pilots. By early 1917, the life expectancy of these airmen drops to under two weeks, pushing Squadron Commander Gresham to his limits. Aces High artfully captures the harrowing experiences of the Royal Flying Corps, featuring stunningly choreographed dogfights. Through its poignant direction, the film offers a profound reflection on the senselessness of war and the sacrifices endured by those flying high above the chaos of the Western Front.
