In Baz Luhrmann's modern adaptation of Shakespeare's timeless tale, the rivalry between the Montagues and Capulets has shifted to the heated landscape of Verona Beach. Amidst this turmoil, Romeo and Juliet discover an intense love and decide to marry in secret. While the film boasts a contemporary aesthetic, the original poetic dialogue of the playwright is preserved, bringing a fresh yet familiar essence to their tragic romance.
