Matt Berry returns with a humorous exploration of Brexit in this special, celebrating the passing of the Article 50 deadline. Reuniting with collaborator Arthur Matthews after their work on Toast of London, Berry portrays the eccentric historian Michael Squeamish, who embarks on a quest to uncover Brexit's roots while sharing his unconventional views on the UK's current situation. Utilizing a mix of archival footage and filmed interviews, The Road to Brexit boldly bends the truth, delivering a delightfully absurd journey through Britain's evolving relationship with Europe, spanning from the 1950s to the Brexit era.
