In the 1996 film "Ransom," a wealthy businessman named Tom Mullen faces a nightmare when his son is abducted. Initially, he works closely with law enforcement to secure his child's release. However, as the tension escalates, Tom decides to flip the script on the kidnappers. Instead of complying with their demands, he publicly offers a substantial bounty for information leading to the capture of the criminals, turning the situation into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse that challenges both his resolve and the criminals' grip on power.
