Marisol Rivera, a driven first-generation Mexican-American, has dedicated her life to securing a college education. After years of balancing manual labor and late-night studies, a scholarship finally opens the door to her dreams. However, her world shatters when she’s wrongfully accused of a crime and uncovers the devastating reality of her undocumented status.
