Her final producing credit came posthumously with *The Amazing Spider-Man* (2012), solidifying her role as a key architect of the franchise's early success.

Beyond her work in features, Ziskin broke barriers in the awards-show arena. In 2002, she became the first woman to solo-produce the Academy Awards telecast, a milestone she repeated in 2007 for the 79th ceremony. Her stewardship of Hollywood's biggest night demonstrated her versatility and leadership in an industry often slow to embrace female executives.

Throughout her career, Ziskin championed both commercial blockbusters and intimate dramas, balancing spectacle with storytelling. Her untimely death in 2011 at age 61 cut short a prolific run, but her influence endures—both in the superhero films that dominate today's landscape and in the doors she opened for women behind the camera. Ziskin's name remains synonymous with creative ambition and quiet tenacity, a testament to a producer who never stopped pushing boundaries.
