Angelis also showcased his talent for playing antagonistic roles in the revived series "Auf Wiedersehen Pet," sharing the screen with fellow "Black Stuff" alum Alan Igbon.

One of his most memorable achievements came through his narration of the beloved children's series "Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends," a role he assumed in 1991 after Ringo Starr. Although initially slated to voice characters in the film "Thomas and the Magic Railroad," he was replaced due to audience feedback. Despite this setback, Angelis continued to narrate the series, with his voice becoming synonymous with the franchise, even after briefly stepping back in 2007, when Pierce Brosnan took over for a special. He also narrated John Peel's autobiography, "Margrave of the Marshes," for BBC Radio 4 in 2005.

In 2006, he appeared in the film "Fated," set in his native Liverpool, and made guest appearances in shows like "Midsomer Murders" and "The Bill" in 2007. Michael Angelis was previously married to actress Helen Worth, but their union ended in divorce in 2001 due to his affair with model Jennifer Khalastchi.
