Peck's journey in film began in relative obscurity; at one point, he was working as a waiter while pursuing acting opportunities. McTiernan, impressed by Peck's skill during auditions, cast him as one of the police officers in the original "Die Hard." His impressive performance in this minor role caught the director's attention, leading to a more significant role as a naval officer in the critically acclaimed "The Hunt for Red October."

This increased visibility opened doors for Peck, resulting in a string of prominent roles in major films, such as "The Last Action Hero" and "In the Line of Fire." He also returned to the "Die Hard" series in "Die Hard with a Vengeance." Sadly, Anthony Peck's life was cut short when he succumbed to cancer in 1996, but his contributions to the film industry remain memorable and significant.
