Driven by cinematic ambitions, Greer moved to Los Angeles in 1927, adopting her professional stage name. The following year, she secured a spot among the Hal Roach Bathing Beauties, a troupe of young women showcased in comedic shorts and promotional events wearing daring swimwear. Though her time in the spotlight was fleeting, she landed two speaking roles: portraying Oliver Hardy's romantic interest in the 1929 short *Men O' War*, and appearing as a honeymooner in the 1930 RKO production *Moonlight and Monkey Business*, helmed by director Mark Sandrich.

In 1930, Greer married Carlos Noelle (1904–1978). The pair planned to settle in Ashland near her mother, and it was there that Greer gave birth to son Carlos Jr. on May 28, 1931. Following a service at Ashland Presbyterian Church, she was temporarily entombed in the church cemetery's mausoleum before being laid to rest beside her father in a Burbank, California, cemetery. Her infant son was subsequently adopted by her sister, Vivian Dorothy Ling (née Greer, 1893–1966).
