Stockbridge's unique interpretation of royal fashion, often featuring a velvet and tweed crown reminiscent of Queen Elizabeth II, made her a standout figure during this vibrant era.

Her playful homage to Marilyn Monroe—characterized by smudged red lipstick, pin-curled hair, and form-fitting outfits—solidified her status as a fashion icon of the late '80s. While she graced the covers of notable magazines like i-D, Blitz, ELLE, and Vogue, she never fully integrated into mainstream high fashion. After the birth of her son, Max, in 1990, her modeling career took a backseat, although she also has a daughter named Lelu from a different relationship.

Stockbridge's early life included time spent in Trinidad, Bahrain, and Peru before returning to England. She famously modeled as Tank Girl for promotional photos, which gained significant attention despite not landing the role in the film. She also showcased her acting talents in the comedy film U.F.O. and portrayed a wealthy wife in Oh Marbella!

Still engaged in the fashion world, she has made recent appearances on Westwood's runways and in British Vogue. In addition to her modeling and acting, Stockbridge published her debut novel, Hammer, in 2009 and has secured a contract for a second book.
