This performance earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award, further solidifying her status in the industry. She showcased her versatility through guest appearances in popular television series such as *Family Ties*, *Remington Steele*, and even portrayed a young Mae West in a biopic. In 1983, she took on the role of Celia in the sitcom *Gun Shy*, receiving a second Young Artist Award nomination for her performance.

Throughout the mid-1980s, Andersen continued to build her filmography with notable projects, including *A Summer to Remember*, *The Parent Trap II*, and appearances on *The Golden Girls*.
